The SmileDirectClub Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit grantmaking organization. Its mission is to empower the heroic, the vulnerable and those at risk to gain the tools, skills and confidence they need to put their best face forward as they transition to new phases in their education or careers.

Year Up
Year Up was founded to provide young adults with on-ramps to economic stability and mobility. Year Up’s mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by ensuring that young adults gain the skills, experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education. On one side of the Opportunity Divide are young adults who experience financial insecurity and instability because of systemic inequities. On the other side are Fortune 1000 companies who are looking to fill critical entry-level, middle-skills roles.

What is the SmileDirectClub Foundation?
The SmileDirectClub Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, grant-making organization committed to empowering individuals during times of transition. We aim to bring together stakeholders to fund programs preparing people to meet the opportunities they seek—so they can achieve a life even brighter than they have imagined. What does the SmileDirectClub Foundation do?
SmileDirectClub Foundation raises funds and then distributes those funds in the form of grants to non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations that align with our mission. If you’re with a non-profit organization interested in partnership or know of a non-profit that aligns with our mission that you’d like to recommend for consideration, please contact us. What's the relationship between SmileDirectClub & the SmileDirectClub Foundation?
The SmileDirectClub Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity and a separate legal entity from SmileDirectClub. The SmileDirectClub Foundation and SmileDirectClub have separate boards and separate governance. While support is provided by SmileDirectClub, the Foundation seeks further support from diverse sources. Grants from the SmileDirectClub Foundation will be administered at the discretion of the Foundation. What kind of organizations does the SmileDirectClub Foundation fund?
We fund 501(c)(3) organizations that empower people making transitions related to post-secondary education or their career. Examples include, but are not limited to: job skill experiences, college readiness programming or scholarship funds. |

Who can donate to the SmileDirectClub Foundation?
Anyone! We welcome support from any individual or organization who feels passionately about the power of confidence. The Foundation also receives generous support and funding from SmileDirectClub. My organization needs volunteers. Can the SmileDirectClub Foundation help?
Yes! We’re always interested in giving time and talent, ideally in groups. At this time, we’re able to provide virtual volunteers who commit their time and services away from the physical site of your organization, project, or event. When will I be contacted about the status of my request?
Financial support and auction item requests will be reviewed quarterly in January, April, July, and October. Requests will be responded to by the end of those months. The final decision on funding is at the sole and exclusive discretion of the foundation and its Board of Directors. |
